which is split £102m of sales in the major UK multiples, and £35m
in food service/catering outlets.

introduced fresh soup to the UK in
1986, and these sales are now worth £51m in major multiples.
The Fresh Soup market
has seen good growth in 2007 with value growth of 5% and volume
growth of 3% 2007 vs 2006. This growth
is primarily due to the growth of New Covent Garden Soup, which
has grown 15% in value in 2007 vs 2006 (source IRI 01/12/07
52/we IRI).
Consumption
of fresh soup is primarily in the winter, by
upmarket over 45 year olds. New Covent Garden Food has 50% of the fresh soup category in the UK.
The chilled ready meal market is worth £1.6 billion and is growing at 4%. This market size is split between meals that you need to cook (£380m) and meals that you need to reheat (£1.3billion). It does not include added value proteins that are in the meat sold in supermarkets. We also supply into Ireland at €51m market growing at 7% pa.
The chilled drinks market is split between chilled juices and smoothies. The chilled juice market is now worth £647m and is growing strongly at 7%. The growth is driven by not from concentrate (14%). The top tier squeezed juice is growing at 5%

Consumption of chilled drinks is up-market and found
